Ryan Joseph

Ryan Joseph is an Austin, TX based comedian known for his random, dark, and clever one-liners. If there’s any modern comic who practices the art of joke writing, it’s Ryan.  A paid regular at Comedy Mothership, Ryan was a finalist of the 2022 New York Comedy Festival’s Funniest Stand-up, Winner of the U.S. Comedy Contest, a Killtony fixture during the pandemic, and has appeared on comedy festivals Skankfest and Sunshine Comedy Festival- where he was praised by @JokeWrld as the MVP of the festival.

He's also appeared on popular podcasts such as The William Montgomery Show and Real-Ass Podcast. Ryan has worked with notable figures such as Joe Rogan, Jamie Kennedy, Tim Dillon, Whitney Cummings and Tony Hinchcliffe. Ryan started doing standup comedy in LA, performing three times a day on open mics at Fourth Wall and hanging out at the Comedy Store and Hollywood Improv, learning from the pros. After figuring out he could use the classic one liner structure to express his dark sense of humor, Ryan quickly gained notice in LA as a raw talent. In his first two years of comedy, he was chosen over hundreds of LA comics as the winner of U.S. Comedy Contest at the legendary Ice House in Pasadena, became a regular performer on “Deez Nuts,” the weekly showcase at the Comedy Store, and made his first appearances on Killtony. Notable comedy figures Barry Katz and manager of Carolines Comedy Club Lou Faranda in NYC both worked with him to encourage his writing style.During the pandemic, Ryan made use of his time by regularly performing on Killtony, entertaining audiences with his jokes he was still perfecting at secret open mics.Gaining the attention of Tony Hinchcliffe and the Killtony family, Ryan soon followed the Comedy Store exodus to Austin, TX, where he did one more set on Killtony before quitting to produce his own shows “The Riff” and “Sick Fux.” Joe Rogan embraced the young comic who opened for him and other names that came to Austin -including Whitney Cummings, Tim Dillon and Jamie Kennedy. Ryan also appeared on Luis J. Gomez’ “Depraved” show and “Real Ass Podcast,” and was invited to Skankfest where he wowed audiences with sets packed full of cryptic punchlines. Ryan also began nationally headlining at clubs such as Hollywood Laugh Factory, Carolines and NY Comedy Club and was the only non-NYC based comedian to be invited to compete on NY Comedy Festival’s Funniest Standup. He has also created his own podcast “The Ryan Joseph Show” and appeared on Jamie Kennedy’s “Hate to break it to Ya” podcast and “The William Montgomery Show.” Recently, his set on Sunshine Comedy Festival gained viral status and was praised by Joke Wrld as the VIP of the event and a comedian to “keep watching.”When not doing sets at his two favorite clubs The Comedy Mothership, Ryan regularly appears on Ron Herron’s Brewery tour, working out material to every part of the country.
